Gageego! – a name filled with secrecy, Håkan Dahl
”… There was rock solid concentration, skilled craftmanship and full empathy from all hands, guaranteeing an evening where contemporary music for once received full dividends in front of a significant audience. Well done!”
Gageego! plays Donatoni & Kagel
A double portrait of two of the most distinguished composers of our time: Franco Donatoni and Maurizio Kagel. Two creators from the same generation, creating a stark contrast within the same concert. Kagel (born 1931) makes music characterized by fantasy, originality and humour, while Donatonis (born 1927) radiates beauty, vitality and stability.
This evening’s conductor is Jerker Johansson, well-known artistic director of Göteborgsmusiken.
