Gageego!’s 30th anniversary in the spring issue of 2025
“It is hard to imagine better performances of these demanding works.” This is how critic Love Carbin summed up Gageego!’s 30th anniversary celebration in Stenhammarsalen earlier this year.
On February 9, Gageego! and Gothenburg Concert Hall marked the ensemble’s 30th anniversary with an exhibition and concert in Stenhammarsalen.
The magazine Nutida Musik notes that the works by Pierre Boulez, Carola Bauckholt, Madeleine Isaksson, Esaias Järnegard, Per Mårtensson, Djuro Zivkovic, Simon Løffler, Stuart Saunders Smith, Edgar Varèse and Joakim Sandgren collectively constitute a marathon-long challenge for the audience – but one that rewards them richly:
