As part of the G\u00f6teborg International Organ Festival and GAS 2024, Gageego! will present a program of works by Klaus Lang and Lisa Streich.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The concert opens with Seraph<\/strong>, a work for cello and organ that Lisa Streich<\/strong> composed in 2013 and which Gageego! performed this year during a digital pandemic concert. Now it finally gets to reverbate in the same space as the audience. We hear Johan Stern<\/strong> on cello and the festival’s artistic director Hans Davidsson<\/strong> on organ. <\/p>\n\n

Then follows Klaus Lang’s<\/strong> newly written Kaihogyo<\/strong> for organ and chamber ensemble. Gageego! premiered the work during the Kalvfestivalen this summer and this is the second time it has been performed in public. The name comes from the seven-year pilgrimage that the Buddhist Tendai monks make around Mount Hiei. Kaihogyo is performed with the composer himself at the organ and Gageego!, consisting of: <\/p>\n\n
