SUMMARY:Kalvfestivalen
DESCRIPTION:The rural community Kalv is a small village\, located in a scenic area in the southern part of Västra Götaland. A few summer days each year\, wonderful and strange sounds emerge from all corners of the place. Gageego! will be among the artists performing. \n\nAlso participating are Varberg’s Chamber Choir and organist Johannes Landgren\, conducted by Gunno Palmquist. \n\nProgramme\n\nThe concert contains a rich panorama of Swedish contemporary choir music and also connects withe the festival theme\, Utopica Futura\, with Hildegard of Bingen‘s music\, but not least the central piece: Kalvfestivalen’s commissioned work\, “Kindaholmsparafrasen” by the festival’s emeritus Max Käck! In addition\, we will hear works by Britta Antonér\, Arvo Pärt\, Sven-David Sandström and Jan Yngwe. \n\n\nMore on the festival site (Swedish)
